1. About Sguardo
Sguardo is a personal health data platform developed by Sound Prediction. Sguardo helps you organize, understand, and manage your health information — including lab results, medications, conditions, and vitals — on your own device.
2. Your Data Stays Yours
- All health data is stored locally on your device.
- We do not store or retain your personal health information on our servers.
- You can export, back up, or delete your data at any time from within the app.
3. Health Data Connections
When you authorize Sguardo to access your health records through services like Epic MyChart, health insurance payers, or CMS Blue Button:
- Sguardo acts as your authorized agent to retrieve your records.
- You may revoke this authorization at any time through the connected service or within Sguardo.
- Sguardo accesses only the data you authorize and stores it locally on your device.
Some health data sources require API requests to originate from a server rather than directly from a mobile application. In these cases, your data may pass through Sound Prediction relay servers:
- Data is transmitted, not stored: Your health data passes through only to relay it to your device.
- No logging of health data: We do not log, inspect, read, or retain your personal health information.
- Encryption in transit: All data is encrypted using TLS during transmission.
- No human access: No Sound Prediction employee views your health data.
Where technically possible, data flows directly from the source to your device without passing through our servers.
4. Not Medical Advice
Sguardo provides health information tools, including reference ranges, risk calculators, drug interaction alerts, and community health data. These tools are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Always consult your healthcare provider before making health decisions. Sguardo is not a substitute for professional medical care.
5. Risk Calculators and Estimates
Sguardo includes validated clinical calculators (Framingham risk scores, life expectancy models, BMI, etc.) based on published peer-reviewed research. These produce statistical estimates for general populations and may not accurately predict individual outcomes.
6. Privacy
- We do not collect, store, or sell your personal health information.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not share your data with third parties.

7. Limitation of Liability
Sound Prediction provides Sguardo “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any decisions made based on information displayed in the app.
